The BIPOC Financial Empowerment program is designed to provide Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) with the knowledge, tools, resources and coaching to support your financial wellbeing. The program offers free trauma-informed and culturally relevant financial education through monthly workshops on various financial topics, a supportive affinity group setting and 1:1 coaching to help you achieve your goals.
This initiative is a project of the Building Equity Collaborative.
Who is this for?
If you identify as a Black, Indigenous and Person of Color (BIPOC) and live in rural Vermont (outside of Chittenden County) - this program is for you!

How to Apply
Ready to sign up? Fill out this interest form.
Once you fill out the interest form, you’ll receive a link to complete a Financial Needs & Goals Assessment. You must complete the Financial Needs & Goals Assessment before signing up for 1:1 financial coaching.
All participants will be required to complete a Financial Needs & Goals Assessment and attend an Orientation. The program is capped at 40 participants, so don’t wait, sign up now!
2025 Workshop Topics & Dates
Workshops and 1:1 coaching will be available exclusively to participants who complete the form and are selected to participate. Workshops will be held virtually via zoom on Saturdays and will NOT be recorded. Childcare/Dependent care stipends are available. To participate in the BIPOC Financial Empowerment Program you must complete the application form no later than Monday, March 31st midnight. The program will be limited to a maximum of 30 participants. We will select participants based on level of commitment to attend the workshops.
If selected, you must attend the Orientation/Open House on Sat. April 12th to confirm your spot in the program.

To promote accessibility, we are offering $50 stipends to help cover cost for childcare/dependent care during the workshops. Stipends must be requested and will be provided via a mailed check.
In addition, each participant will receive four 1:1 coaching sessions for more individualized support tailored to your financial goals.
